Hola!
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year. I know that I am late and sincere apologies for that. I hope that the new year brings lots of joy to everyone. As for me, many things changed and yet many are going to begin soon. I also know that I am back after a long break. I got a little busy in the daily schedule and couldn’t find much time for blogging. Yet I did find time to try out many different products in past few months and I am going to write about all of them one by one.
I have dry hair and thus I really like hair oils as they always help me a lot. I am keen on trying different hair oils and other hair products. This product was mentioned to me by one of my valuable readers who had suggested me to try out this hair oil and review it for them. I bought this one soon but did not find time to write about it. Now I finally have the time to write about it and so here it is…
What’s In Focus?
Omved Pushtikar Hair Oil
The Backstory
I have already told you guys about my interest in checking out new products especially hair care products and that I love experimenting with my hair. When one of my readers in my earlier post asked me to try this one out, I couldn’t resist buying it immediately. I didn’t face any problem in finding it online and it was smoothly delivered to me at my place. I then tried it out and since then I have been using it for almost about two months. Let’s check how it fared out.
Product Description
Packaging
I am not particularly enthusiastic about the packaging. It comes in a brown coloured glass bottle with description labels. The cap is white in colour. Yes, I agree that it is an Ayurvedic product but the packaging could have been a little better. Also, it needs to be carefully handled. The packaging is not very travel friendly as although the glass is strong but it is glass after all. So, thumbs-down from my side in the packaging department.
Ingredients
Quantity and Price
The 125 ml bottle is priced at Rs. 490. The price is high as it is a herbal product.
Colour and Texture
The oil is yellowish in colour. It is light in texture as it has coconut oil as the base. It also solidifies during the winter months due to the same. It has to be warmed up before applying so as to turn it back into liquid state. It is very less sticky considering it is an Ayurvedic product.
Fragrance
It has a strong herbal smell which might be unpleasant to some people. I am not personally bothered too much by it.
Chica’s Outlook
First things first, the texture of this oil impressed me as I was getting disgusted by the thick texture of castor oil. So when I applied it, I was relieved that it did not give the too much ‘chipku’ feeling. It made my hair soft upon washing. I also noticed a lot of improvement in dry scalp condition. Along with this, I used Head and Shoulders Dry Scalp Care shampoo to cure this issue. The scalp itch due to dryness was also cured. It also did work for hair loss and new hair growth but that has a lot to do with diet also and I failed to make any changes in that part. I still have the bad habit of eating junk food on which I am going to improve upon soon. Also, I did not have an extreme hair loss issue. But as for the oil, it did work for my hair.

- Might help in hair growth if used regularly.

- Expensive for quantity given.

Chica’s Verdict
It is recommended for you but do give it some time to come up with the results. Worth a try especially if you are facing dry scalp troubles.
